Congratulations to Teaka and Pia--another successful Tracking Champion!

Teaka lives with Pia and Noel Butcher and her German Shepherd brother, Harley.  She started her tracking career in March 2006 when she earned her Tracking Qualification test (TQT).

At the Golden Retriever Club of Victoria's Trial in May 2006 she was awarded her Tracking Dog Title after earning Test 1 and Test 2. (Test 2 with an Excellent grading.)  Teaka was awarded the T Ch Pointgold Pure Pleasure CDX ET trophy for  the Highest Graded Golden Retriever of the trial.

In June 2006 Teaka qualified for her Test 3 and Test 4, gaining an Excellent grade for her Test 4.

For a change of pace, Teaka was awarded her Companion Dog title with a Highest Scoring Golden Retriever in Trial sash at Keilor's trial in May 2006.  She quickly followed that with a Test 5 and yet another excellent grade to earn her Tracking Dog Excellent Title and then was awarded her Tracking Champion Title in August with a Test 6 pass.

Teaka gained three Excellent gradings along the way and in 2006 was awarded the Tracking Dog of the Year award by the Tracking Club of Victoria.

Teaka is the fourth Fernamber Golden Retriever to win this prestigious award and she is the seventh Fernamber Golden Retriever to achieve the title of Champion.
